Reece Brown, the 6-foot-9, 190-pound wing from Loomis Chaffee (CT), is focusing on three schools after taking an official visit to UNLV this weekend.
“I’m still hearing from Cal and Georgetown but unless something drastic happens I’ll more than likely have Rice, Elon and UNLV be my final three and [I’ll] decide when I’m ready, probably before the early signing period,” he said.
Brown has visited all three schools.
As for his UNLV visit, he said: “They understand that I have a lot of upside and potential and they’re excited to work with that and help get me better as the years go on if I go there. But that being said they want me to come in and impact immediately because part of developing is playing in games. They have a really solid class coming in and coach T.J. [Otzelberger] would love to have me join and take this program in the direction we both believe it can go.”
Wherever he lands, Brown hopes to make an impact.
“I’m well known for my athleticism and the way I jump but I think my jumper and handle are continuing to get better,” he said. “I play above the room and love to shoot pull-ups. I think I’m real versatile on defense and and guard 1-4.”
