McClung announced on March 29 that he would be testing the NBA Draft waters after a season in which he averaged 15.7 points, 3.1 rebounds and 2.4 assists despite battling foot and eye injuries. He is currently at home in West Virginia and is not in the transfer portal despite rumblings he could transfer. “I have declared for the 2020 NBA Draft while also maintaining eligibility,” McClung told ESPN. “I have submitted my form to the Undergraduate Advisory Committee, and sent in paperwork to the league office. I have also signed with an NBA/NCAA certified agent which gives me an opportunity to go through this process while also maintaining eligibility.” The NBA Draft is currently set for June 25 at Barclays Center, but it is widely expected to be pushed back until sometime in August or September by the pandemic. Georgetown lost four players to transfer last season and this offseason big man Omer Yurtseven announced he would remain in the NBA Draft. The Hoyas, who finished 15-17 last season, 5-13 in the Big East, added Arkansas grad transfer guard Jalen Harris and Northwestern State grad transfer forward Chudier Bile. “With the nucleus of guys that we have coming back and the new guys that we have coming,” Ewing said, “we should have a pretty good team.” Follow Adam Zagoria on Twitter And Like ZAGS on FacebookBig News: In a @CBBONFOX interview with @TheAndyKatz today, Patrick Ewing says Mac McClung plans to return to Georgetown for his junior season. #Hoyas

Georgetown guard Mac McClung is still testing the NBA Draft waters, his agent told ZAGSBLOG.
Daniel Hazan, an NCAA-certified agent with whom McClung has signed, said the 6-foot-2 sophomore guard from Georgetown has had Zoom meetings with about a dozen NBA teams.
“He still in the midst of interviews and the draft process,” Hazan said by text. “Any claims that he is returning [to Georgetown] are inaccurate.”
Hoyas coach Patrick Ewing told Andy Katz of Fox Sports in a video interview that McClung would definitely be returning for his junior season.
“Both Mac McClung and Jamorko Pickett decided to test the waters and they told me that both of them will be coming back,” Ewing said.
He added: “Definitely Mac and Jamorko, they’re also significant parts of our team and we’re happy that they will be coming back.”
