Mouhamed Lamine Mbaye, the 6-foot-8, 215-pound Class of 2021 combo forward from Aspire Academy (KY), has been adding high-major offers in recent days.

The native of Senegal now has offers from Louisville and Rutgers, along with interest from Cincinnati, Memphis and Iona, among others. He’s recently done Zoom calls with Louisville and Rutgers and has one with Cincinnati set for Saturday. He will also do Zoom calls with Memphis and Iona.

“Mouhamed has more upside than anyone that has come through the Aspire program,” coach Jeremy Kipness said. “Every time he touches the floor he’s the hardest worker, bar none, with a relentless motor and activity on both sides of the floor.

“He can defend literally 1-5, rebounds outside his area and runs the floor exceptionally but what is so intriguing about him is the fact that he shoots it so well from the perimeter and can really stretch the floor. Combine that with an improving skill-set and ability to put the ball on the floor and to me, you’re not going to find many prospects in the class of 2021 with the upside and potential as him, especially when you add in his intangibles and winning qualities he possesses.”
