Five-star wing Jordan Walsh enjoys Memphis visit, Kansas up next
By ADAM ZAGORIAJordan Walsh, the five-star small forward from Link Year Prep (MO), took his official visit to Memphis this weekend after earning an offer from coach Penny Hardaway last month.
“It was a very good visit,” his father John said. “Their message was that Jordan is a priority for them and that they don’t have anyone like him. I was told that Coach Penny sees a lot of himself in Jordan. Special to hear those things from someone of Coach Penny’s caliber.”
The 6-foot-7, 190-pound Walsh, ranked the No. 7 small forward in the 247Sports.com Composite, has already taken official visits to TCU (June 10-12), Arkansas (June 24-26), Oklahoma (Aug. 1), Arizona State (Sept. 10-12) and Texas (Sept. 17-19). He will trip to Kansas Oct. 8-10.

Memphis, which stunned the college basketball world by adding Jalen Duren and Emoni Bates after both players reclassified into 2021 from 2022, has three players committed for 2022.
They are also pursuing five-star guard Zion Cruz of The Patrick School (N.J.) and the PSA Cardinals. Assistant Cody Toppert recently watched Cruz at an open gym and Cruz is working on setting up a visit.
