Class of 2023 Camden, New Scholars big man Aaron Bradshaw picks up Kentucky offer
By BILAL BENJAMINORLANDO, Fla. — Aaron Bradshaw, the ultra productive Class of 2023 center for the NJ Scholars and Camden High School, had a dominating first session in the EYBL on both ends of the floor and picked up an offer from Kentucky as a result.
The 7-foot-1 rim protector raised a ton of eyebrows this weekend, including those of Kentucky coach John Calipari, who watched the Scholars and has now extended offers to both Bradshaw and his teammate D.J. Wagner, the No. 1 prospect in the Class of 2023 who is being targeted by Kentucky and Louisville.
Kentucky currently has two players from Camden High on its roster in Lance Ware and Kareem Watkins, Wagner’s brother. Calipari, of course, also coached Dajuan Wagner, D.J.’s father and the all-time leading scorer in New Jersey prep history, at Memphis.
Bradshaw averaged 8.9 points and 7.4 rebounds this past season for a Camden team that won the New Jersey Group 2 state title and reached the title game of the final Tournament of Champions in New Jersey history, where they lost to Roselle Catholic. 61-58, on March 20.
As for who has been recruiting Bradshaw the hardest he said, “I would say Kentucky, Maryland, Kansas and Seton Hall.”
Bradshaw has been on visits as well, but like his teammate DJ Wagner, he’s focused on winning Peach Jam.
“I’ve been on visits to LSU and Oklahoma State and I really enjoyed those visits, but I’m worried about getting better this spring and summer,” he said.
