Overtime Elite twin guards Amen Thompson and Ausar Thompson are still currently enrolled in high school courses with the OTE Program and will be graduating in the spring, source tells ZAGSBLOG.
The 6-foot-7 wing prospects are currently projected by ESPN as Top-10 picks in the 2023 NBA Draft.
Amen averaged 13.6 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 2.2 steals and 1.3 blocks per game in 27 games during Overtime Elite’s inaugural 2021-22 season. Ausar averaged 15.1 points, 8.3 rebounds, 2.8 assists, 1.8 steals and 2.3 blocks per game.
“I feel like Ausar is really good at everything, but mostly, he’s a great scorer. I’m more of a pass-first player,” Amen said in January. Well, not even pass-first. I like to get my own, but I’m going to pass it a lot. I feel like that’s one of the biggest differences in our games, but our games are similar.
In the playoffs, Ausar turned things up a notch outdueling his twin in a thrilling three-game OTE Finals series to win Finals MVP.
