Scotty Middleton, the 6-foot-7, 175-pound forward from Sunrise Christian (KS) and Brad Beal Elite, has a diverse skillset, scoring and facilitating on offense, while impacting the game on defense as well.
Ranked the No. 8 small forward in 2023 per 247Sports.com, he recently cut his list to a top five of Ohio State, Kansas, UConn, Seton Hall and Texas A&M. He has no visits currently set.
He broke down each school for ZAGSBLOG:
Ohio State — “My visit was really good. Igot to see what Ohio State is really about and what it is to be a Buckeye. I like how the coaches and fans love their players and how some NBA guys come back and work with the players.”
Kansas —“I just love how Bill Self develops his players and always makes them play hard. Also Kansas has a winning culture coming off a national championship.”
UConn — “They have a culture and Dan Hurley always makes his guys go hard. Also, me and Coach Kimani [Young] have a really good relationship.”
Texas A&M – “I have a great relationship with [assistant] Lyle Wolf. Also, him and Buzz Williams do a great job of taking guys who look like me and taking them to the next level.”
Seton Hall — “Everybody saw what Coach [Shaheen] Holloway did with Saint Peter’s last season, making his guys just play with that grit and toughness. Just his really good coaching and the way he develops his players on and off the court.”
