The Games feature the top male prospects from outside the U.S. and are taking place at Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School. The fourth NBA Academy Games run through Sunday. Some of the top prospects on hand include: NBA Global Academy: Alex Toohey & Barry Wang NBA Academy Latin America: Edir Ortiz and Chris Tadjo NBA Academy Africa (Blue): Thierry Darlan, Rueben Chinyelo, Ulrich Kamka Chomche and Khaman Maluach NBA Academy Africa (Red): Parby Musongela and Segun Ezekiel Obe The NBA Academy Games is a series of exhibition games featuring top prospects from outside the U.S., including from the league’s four academies located in Australia, India, Mexico and Senegal, competing against each other and elite select teams in front of NCAA coaches and NBA scouts. This year’s men’s event will feature eight teams: NBA Academy Africa (two teams), NBA Academy Latin America, NBA Global Academy, NBA World Select (two teams), and Atlanta-based The Skill Factory National and The Skill Factory Global. Dozens of coaches and NBA scouts here with head coaches including Archie Miller, Joe Pasternack, John Calipari, Mike White, Bryce Drew and Wayne Tinkle.
Kentucky’s John Calipari and Georgia’s Mike White are among the coaches in Atlanta this week for the NBA Academy Games.
Calipari returned to the U.S. from Spain where he was among coaches scouting Class of 2023 Camden star D.J. Wagner and Class of 2024 Cardinal Hayes standout Ian Jackson with the USA U17 team.
