Iona coach Tobin Anderson has begun to build his roster with the addition of Harvard graduate transfer Idan Tretout, a 6-foot-4 guard from Brooklyn, and several Class of 2023 high school prospects.
He averaged 9.7 points and 3.3 rebounds as a senior at Harvard while shooting 44% and 37% from deep.
“Coach Tobin has a winning pedigree and he’s assimilated a tournament team with less time last year,” he said. “Iona is a winning program and our goal is to make a run in the [NCAA] Tournament. Their style of play fits my game and coach Anderson trusts me to take this team far. I want to be somewhere that values me and my talent.”
Iona has also added Class of 2023 guards Jean Araguren and Jeremiah Quigley and Class of 2023 forward Dylan Saunders, while losing Walter Clayton Jr. (Florida), Daniss Jenkins (St. John’s) and Nelly Junior Joseph (New Mexico) from last year’s NCAA Tournament team under Rick Pitino.
