Ike Cornish, the 6-foot-6 small forward from Maryland, committed to Ohio University on Friday while on a visit.

Cornish also considered George Mason and canceled a visit to Grand Canyon.

The Baltimore native averaged 1.4 points in 21 games last season under Kevin Willard, but has found a new home under coach Jeff Boals. Assistant coach Lamar Thornton was the lead recruiter.

Cornish initially committed to Mark Turgeon at Maryland over Georgetown, Rutgers, St. John’s, Virginia Tech, and Xavier.
