The 6-foot-10 Stone, a Maryland freshman, is up to No. 9 from 10 on the mock draft, while the 6-4 Hield, an Oklahoma senior who is the favorite for National Player of the Year honors, is up to No. 11 from 17.
Kentucky’s Skal Labissiere is now at No. 10 after he was previously at 6. The site had the Haitian sensation at No. 1 in May and at No. 3 in December.
The top five remain LSU’s Ben Simmons, Duke’s Brandon Ingram, Maccabi Tel Aviv’s Dragan Bender, Providence’s Kris Dunn and Cal’s Jaylen Brown.
After that 6-10 includes Marquette’s Henry Ellenson, Utah’s Jacob Poeltl, Kentucky’s Jamal Murray, Stone and Labissiere.
Seven of those top 10 players would be one-and-dones, with Dunn and Poeltl the only upperclassmen and Bender a foreign player.
Among other changes, Cal freshman big man Ivan Rabb fell slightly to No. 13 from 11; Vanderbilt sophomore guard Wade Baldwin fell to No. 19 from 14; and UNLV freshman center Stephen Zimmerman dropped to No. 20 from 15.
Among Kentucky players, in addition to Labissiere and Murray, freshman guard Isaiah Briscoe is at 32 and sophomore guard Tyler Ulis is 51, while junior forward Marcus Lee fell off the board, joining senior forward Alex Poythress.
The Top 10 in 2017 now looks like this:
