Boogie Fland is down to a final eight schools.
The 6-foot-2 Fland point guard from Archbishop Stepinac (N.Y.) and the PSA Cardinals is now considering Kentucky, Alabama, Indiana, Michigan, North Carolina, Maryland, UConn and St. John’s.
He has visited North Carolina, Michigan and Indiana officially, and UConn and St. John’s unofficially.
He broke down several schools recently for ZAGSBLOG.
North Carolina): “They want me at their school and they came and showed love. [The visit] was nice.”
Alabama: “They want me at their school, they want me to come visit. As soon as possible, I will try to go out there, coupled with some other visits. With the new rule coming out that you can take as many visits as you want, I’m going to try to schedule the ones that I want to schedule. I do have some coming up and I’ll definitely let you know.”
UConn: “Same thing, they want me at their school, they want me to come visit.”
Michigan: “Same thing, it was nice and cool out there. I liked it.”
St. John’s: “Right now I feel like [Rick] Pitino is trying to rebuild his team and trying to get it going with him just stepping into that role, so I’m not too much pressure on recruitment yet because he’s still trying to rebuild his team and that comes first.”
