Caleb Wilson, the five-star Class of 2025 jumbo wing from Holy Innocents Episcopal School in Atlanta, took an unofficial visit to Alabama this weekend for the football game with Texas, which the No. 11 Longhorns won, 34-24, over the No. 3 Crimson Tide.

Wilson was on an unofficial along with Class of 2025 small forward Caleb Holt, while Class of 2024 five-star prospects Tyler Betsey and Kon Knueppel were on officials.

“The Alabama visit was great,” Wilson said. “I enjoyed the atmosphere, the culture around sports and the game atmosphere was great.

“Their message was that they develop(ed) forwards like me to lottery picks, which is something I strive too be,” he added. “The also emphasized their willingness too let their forwards push the ball.”

“Caleb really enjoyed himself as the Alabama Basketball program really made him feel at home,” his father Jerry told ZAGSBLOG. “They have a great coaching staff that really seems to be detailed about their process. Head coach Nate Oates is a good guy to be around, very authentic.

“Then the game happened. What a scene it was, I was in awe.”

Next up for Wilson, he will trip to Tennessee Sept. 30 and then Kentucky Oct. 14.
