Small forward Jalen Shelley — a top-50 ranked player in the class of 2024 — has committed to Eric Musselman and the Arkansas Razorbacks, per his social media.

Shelley, the 6-foot-8, 190-pound forward from Link Academy (MO), chose Arkansas over Colorado, Houston, Louisville, LSU, Marquette, Ohio State and Texas A&M.

This is Musselman’s first commitment in the class of 2024. Shelley’s commitment comes right after his official visit this past weekend.

“On the visit, the way the coaches spoke highly about my potential and chance to be great really moved me,” Shelley told ESPN. “Everything that was said was very detailed and showed what they could do for a guy like me.”

Shelley is ranked the No. 47 overall prospect in the class of 2024 by 247Sports and the No. 3 player in Missouri. The lefty forward is described to be a versatile, playmaking wing.

The forward said he chose the Razorbacks because of the staff’s confidence in his abilities.

“Their plan for my development stood out to me,” Shelley said. “The way they broke everything down statistically, to the last detail. Their belief in me caused me to fully trust Coach Muss and the rest of the staff involved in the program.”
