“TCU has been high on me for a while now, and they’ve made an emphasis to show me that I’m a priority for them,” he told ZAGSBLOG ahead of his commitment. “Coach [Jamie] Dixon loves to play fast and get out in transition, and I feel my skill set matches his style of play really well. Also coach Dixon has had players similar to me who he has developed and gotten to the next level, so just knowing that stands out to me.” He added: “I feel I bring a wide skillset to the program. I feel my game is very versatile and I can do a lot of different things at a high level, whether being a primary defender being able to guard multiple positions, making plays for teammates on the offensive end, or scoring the ball at all levels due to my size and athleticism, I feel i can be an asset in a lot of facets of the game.” He is TCU’s first commit in 2024, but he says he’s working recruiting four-star guard Trent Perry and four-star forward Nic Codie. “I’m working on a few guys right now!” he said. “So far I’ve been in contact with Trent Perry; he was on the visit with me and I got to know him a little bit so he’s definitely someone I’ll be recruiting. “Then of course my teammate, Nic Codie. I really got to know Nic over the summer and since then he’s been pretty much my best friend, so I’ll definitely be in his ear trying to get him to come with me if he feels it’s a fit for him as well!” (This post was updated on Sept. 23 at 11:05 a.m.) Follow Adam Zagoria on Twitter Follow ZAGSBLOGHoops on Instagram And Like ZAGS on FacebookMicah Robinson has committed to TCU ‼️ Ranked 73rd in the ESPN 100 the Oak Hill star is a big pickup for the Horned Frogs 🐸 @MicahhRobinson pic.twitter.com/FFtVNlpvnq

Micah Robinson, the 6-foot-6 small forward from Oak Hill Academy (VA), committed to Texas Christian on Saturday on the On3 platform.
Ranked the No. 21 small forward in the 247Sports Composite, he also considered Vanderbilt, LSU and Virginia Tech.
“I will be commiting to TCU, mainly because of the interest the entire coaching staff showed in me,” he told ZAGSBLOG. “They showed me that they were very invested in what I can do on the court, and they’re invested in how they can ultimately help me get better to be successful!”
He visited TCU in June and Vanderbilt and Virginia Tech this month, while his LSU visit was canceled this week.
