Cooper Flagg, the No. 1 high school basketball prospect in the Class of 2024, officially signed his National Letter of Intent with Duke on Wednesday.
The 6-foot-8 Flagg, a native of Newport, Maine, had verbally committed to Duke and Coach Jon Scheyer on Oct. 30, but Wednesday marked the first day of the NCAA Early Signing Period.
Duke has the nation’s No. 1-ranked recruiting class, per 247Sports.com, with Flagg, five-star small forward Kon Knueppel, five-star small forward Isaiah Evans, four-star big man Pat Nbonga, four-star small forward Darren Harris and
Flagg was part of a blockbuster five-man recruiting class who signed at national powerhouse Montverde (FL) Academy. Also signing were five-star forward Liam McNeeley (Indiana), five-star forward Asa Newell (Georgia), four-star point guard Curtis Givens (LSU) and four-star point guard Rob Wright (Baylor).
