Defending champion Zach Lavine went back-to-back in the Dunk Contest by edging out Aaron Gordon in one of the most compelling and exciting contests in recent memory.

Lavine ended up winning it for a second straight year after taking off from just inside the foul line and nailing this through-the-legs dunk that fired up Minnesota Timberwolves teammate Andrew Wiggins.

Earlier, he busted out this dunk reminiscent of Vince Carter.https://vine.co/v/inPjjdVUUPW/embed/simple https://platform.vine.co/static/scripts/embed.js

“Zach Lavine had to bring his A-game tonight,” Charles Barkley said on TNT.

“It was the best [dunk contest] ever,’ Kenny Smith added. “I’ve never seen anything like two guys go at it like that.”

But Gordon was equally awesome, throwing down these memorable slams, including the second one below where he timed it perfectly to grab the ball from the mascot, puts his hand behind his back and throw it down.
