Miami transfer guard Bensley Joseph has committed to Providence, per his Instagram page.

Joseph, the 6-foot-2, 190-pound guard from Arlington (MA), chose the Friars over St. John’s. Joseph visited both of his final options.

Last season at Miami, Joseph averaged 9.6 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game while shooting 40.8% from the field. Joseph played three years at Miami and has two years of eligibility remaining.

With Joseph’s commitment, Providence head coach Kim English has his first commit of this transfer portal cycle. Joseph will join class of 2024 three-star guard Ryan Mela as a newcomer on the 24-25 roster.
