INDIANAPOLIS — Class of 2025 four-star big man Jaden Toombs is eyeing a visit to Louisville sometime after Peach Jam, he told ZAGSBLOG.com in an exclusive interview.

Toombs — the 6-foot-9, 245-pound center from Dynamic Prep (TX) and the Drive Nation Nike EYBL AAU program — is coming off an impressive weekend in Indianapolis where he averaged 16.3 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game.

The big man had two 20 points games during the weekend, including a game where he made 10-of-10 shots from the field in 13 minutes. Toombs in total shot 72.9% percent from the field and showed he can stretch the floor by knocking in 2-of-4 shots from 3-point range throughout the four Session 3 games.

“I feel like I have great touch that a lot of bigs don’t have,” Toombs said of his game. “I’m very strong. I can pass the ball really well. I can rebound. I can help everybody on my team be better. I was never really the most athletic guy, so I really just have mastered my back-to-the-basket game and I feel like nobody can really stop me.”

In Indianapolis, Toombs gave ZAGSBLOG.com an update on his recruitment and said he’s been hearing from mostly Texas Tech, Louisville, SMU, Oklahoma State and LSU. Toombs has already taken an official visit to Texas Tech and unofficial to Texas. He plans on taking more visits soon after Peach Jam, but doesn’t know where yet. Louisville is one potential visit that stands out.

“That’s pretty much the one I want to go to,” Toombs said.

Toombs has been talking with Louisville assistant coach Ronnie Hamilton but has not heard from head coach Pat Kelsey yet and an offer is not on the table as of now. Here is his break down of each school in contact:

Texas Tech: “That’s home so you know they show a lot of love out there. I like how they play. They play real physical. They get their bigs touches, things like that.”

Louisville: “I haven’t watched to much of them, so I don’t really know. I’ve talked to coach Hamilton. He just moved over there.”

SMU: “That’s where I live right now. That’s in Dallas. I haven’t watched too much of them too, but they play really hard. I’ve been in contact with not the head coach, but he was just at our game.”

Oklahoma State: “They just texted me with the new staff there.”

LSU: “That was my first ever Division I offer. They show a lot of love. I love how they play.”

Kelsey was in Indianapolis to see Toombs play along with SMU head coach Andy Enfield and LSU head coach Matt McMahon. Toombs said he’s closest with coach Matt Braeuer of Texas Tech.

Toombs is ranked the No. 62 overall prospect in the 2025 class per 247Sports and the No. 8 overall center. His favorite NBA player is Nikola Jokić.
