Troy Henderson, a 6-foot-1 point guard in the class of 2025, has committed to Fordham, he confirmed to ZAGSBLOG Friday.
The Team Loaded AAU product chose the Rams over Murray State and Georgia State.
“Once I stepped on campus It just felt like home,” he told ZAGSBLOG. “From the Coaching Staff to the Players all the way down to the academic advisor. Coach [Keith] Urgo has so much energy and enthusiasm towards his players. It was very clear on my visit that this where I want to be. Just being on campus, I can tell everyone is really connected from players to coaches.”
Henderson is the first commit in Urgo and Fordham’s class of 2025. The Rams have had some momentum in the recruiting trail as of late, pulling in four-star Jaden Smith during the 2024 cycle.
In terms of play style, Henderson is a versatile point guard who makes several impact plays
“I can bring winning plays to that [Fordham], I know i can. Whether it’s scoring, assists, rebounds, having a great attitude and spirit, diving on the floor, [and] taking charges, I know exactly what I am signing up for and I am excited.”
