Walker averaged 12.1 points, 3.1 assists and 3.8 rebounds a game while playing with Pro One on the UAA Circuit. He is the first commit for Coach Bruce Pearl in this class. “There’s usually not much movement from Auburn [in the portal] and Bruce Pearl has had a lot of success and I just want to continue that,” Walker said. Simon Walker, the four-star 6-foot-4 shooting guard from Huntsville (AL), committed to Auburn on Thursday.
Ranked the No. 23 shooting guard in the 247Sports Composite in 2025, Walker chose the Tigers over Virginia Tech and Iowa.
“Next year I’ll be taking my talents to Auburn University, War Eagle,” he said on his 247Sports announcement.
“They recruited me since my freshman year. I’ve been able to grow bonds and relationships with the entire staff there and they’ve been great to me throughout the whole process. They’ve been consistent and thorough in their recruitment of me and my game and my family and I’ve just really been able to see myself in the environment at Auburn. Just the fan base is amazing, conference [SEC] is amazing, I’ve been able to develop relationships with the players there, and I think it’s a really good fit for me.”
