OVERLAND PARK, KS — Chris Cenac, the five-star big man out of Link Academy, has taken several official visits this fall and has just two remaining after his trip to Fayetteville. The the 6-foot-10, 230-pound big man will trip Baylor (Nov. 2) and LSU (Nov. 9) to close out his visit schedule. He’s previously seen Auburn, Houston, Kentucky and Tennessee.
Cenac broke down his official visits to Auburn, Houston and Tennessee with ZAGSBLOG here. At Mokan’s JUCO jamboree, Cenac discussed the Kentucky visit along with Arkansas and Baylor.
Arkansas: “[John Calipari] produces a lot of one and dones. And that’s kind of my goal. So that’s about it. He’s had a lot of guys like me.”
Baylor: “Coach [Scott] Drew, coach Tweety [Carter], the whole coaching staff has been really consistent with reaching out. And that’s a school I could see myself going to. So I’ve kept them in the picture.”
Kentucky: “Just the whole coaching staff really. The culture. The fans. The team. Everyone’s great. Great energy. Just to come in, kind of be a one and done. Come in and help the team win.”
On the commits Jasper Johnson and Malachi Moreno: “At USA, they were telling me to come. So I have a good relationship with them.”
Cenac impressed in Link Academy’s first scrimmage game of the season vs. the Ellsworth JUCO program. He finished with 15 points in a blow out win and showed off his 3-point range and finishing ability. LSU assistant Casey Long was in attendance for the game.
Cenac previously told ZAGSBLOG he’ll think about a decision timeline and cutting his list after his official visits. The big man’s current list includes Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Baylor, Houston, Kentucky, Louisville, LSU, Michigan State, Tennessee, Texas and UConn.
