Kentucky guard Kerr Kriisa sustained a foot injury in Saturday night’s game at Gonzaga which will require surgery, the school announced. Surgery is set to happen in the coming days, and while the injury is not considered to be season-ending, he will be out indefinitely.

Kriisa has played in all nine games for the Wildcats this season, averaging 4.4 points and 3.8 assists per game. He made his first start of the season in last night’s historic come-from-behind win, in which he scored a season-high eight points, eclipsing 1,000 for his career.

UK returns to action on Wednesday and will face Colgate at Rupp Arena at Central Bank Center at 8 p.m. ET.
