Texas Tech’s star forward will be running it back for another season.

JT Toppin will return to Texas Tech next season, he announced on his Instagram on Tuesday. The Big 12 Player of the Year, Toppin is expected to return on a $4 million NIL package, per Matt Norlander.

The 6-foot-9 forward averaged 18.2 points, 9.4 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game in his sophomore season. Toppin played his first college season in New Mexico before transferring to Texas Tech, where he will stay for another season.

Texas Tech went 15-5 in the Big 12 this season, good enough for second in the conference. They defeated Arkansas in the Sweet 16 before losing to the eventual champion Florida Gators in the Elite 8.
