NEW YORK — Once upon a time, Scottie Reynolds was the brash, young Villanova rookie who wasn’t afraid of anything. Now he’s the Wise Old Man on a team filled with wise-cracking youngsters.
And he’s loving the role.
“We’re just laughing, joking and having a good time. Man, I’m just having a blast right now. It’s unbelievable. Going through my years, this is probably the funniest team and the best year I’ve had off the court, just having fun with the team,” Reynolds said after posting a team-best 19 points, four assists, three rebounds and three steals as No. 4 Villanova knocked off St. John’s, 81-71, at Madison Square Garden.
