Alex Kline has a lengthy piece on Terrence Ross up over at BoxofMess.com. Here are some of the highlights.
After de-committing from Maryland, the 6-foot-5 senior shooting guard from Portland (Ore.) Jefferson now has a top five of Kansas, Kentucky, Oregon, Washington, and Oklahoma.
“In Kansas, I like the history,” Ross told Kline. “With Kentucky, I like the run-and-gun type of game they play. Oregon is close to home and is a guard school and Washington is, as well. I like the roster over at Oklahoma.”
He said he plans to major in Criminology in college and hopes to “take a couple more visits.”
“I’m going to make a decision come April. As of now, I’m not sure of an exact date or place,” he said.
Ross is close friends with 6-8 forward Terrence Jones, the No. 3 power forward in the nation at Jefferson.
Jones lists Kentucky, Oregon, UCLA, Washington and Oklahoma and he and Ross could end up playing together in college.
“That is something that we have been talking about. We definitely want to go into school together if it’s in both of our best interest. If it doesn’t work then it doesn’t work,” Ross said.
He added: “I would like to play with him. We grew up together so it would be easy for us to play at the next level together.”
