NEW YORK –– As the Knicks wind down another 50-loss season, their grand scheme of landing LeBron James or Dwyane Wade — or both — this summer appears to be in jeopardy.
The Knicks have cleared more than $30 million in salary-cap space and could afford two max-contract free agents beginning July 1. James, Wade and Toronto’s Chris Bosh are the three most attractive players entering the market.
Yet after dropping a game-high 32 points in Miami’s 111-98 victory over the Knicks Sunday night, Wade said winning would be a major factor in his decision where to sign.
