Josiah Turner is mainly considering five schools, according to his mother, Doris Ward.
Turner has officials planned to Louisville, UCLA, Arizona, Oregon and Kansas.
UConn appears to be out and Turner may also take an unofficial to Oklahoma.
“He probably won’t go to UConn,” Ward said Tuesday night by phone. She then added that there are “mostly five” schools he’s looking at. The 6-foot-3 Turner is the No. 2 point guard in the Class of 2011. He has the following official set, per his mother. Sept. 4 – Louisville Sept. 10/11 – UCLA Sept. 17 – Arizona Oct. 2 – Oregon Oct. 15 – Kansas Ward said Turner wouldn’t necessarily take all five visits, either. “If he likes something he’ll commit,” she said. “It’s not that he has to take all five.” Asked if he had a favorite, she said. “I haven’t talked to him about any favorites.” D’ANGELO HARRISON DOWN TO THREE D’Angelo Harrison is down to three schools after Monday’s unofficial visit to St. John’s. “Marquette, Baylor and St. John’s,” he said Tuesday night by text. As for the St. John’s visit, Harrison said, “I liked it.” The 6-foot-3, 190-pound Harrison had previously listed Texas A&M and Oklahoma State.
