Quincy Miller will announce for Baylor, according to a source with direct knowledge. The source said Miller was down to Baylor and Louisville and that Louisville “ain’t getting him.”
Whether Miller’s Westchester (N.C.) Country Day teammate Deuce Bello joins him at Baylor remains unclear. Bello visited Florida State this past weekend.
“Deuce and Quincy said they will have something to say this Thursday,” Westchester athletic director Pat Kahny said via email.
The 6-foot-9 1/2 Miller, the No. 1 power forward in the Class of 2011, originally had Duke and Oklahoma on his list, but did not take a scheduled visit to Duke last weekend and sources said the two sides had parted ways.
In an interview earlier this month, Miller said: “Baylor and Louisville are slightly in the lead and Duke is right behind and then Oklahoma.”
Of Baylor, he added: “The Baylor visit went real well. That was my best visit thus far. They’re like a family and I’m really interested in that.”
