GREENBURGH, N.Y. — Rock bottom for Shawne Williams occurred sometime last season when he was out of work and back home in Memphis.
His young nieces and nephews wondered why uncle Shawne, the 17th pick in the 2006 NBA Draft, was not playing NBA games on television.
“At first I didn’t even know they understood,” Williams, 24, said Monday after Knicks practice. “But after me being away, they understand more than I thought.”
