  • Duke Places Trio on Naismith Watch List

    The Atlanta Tipoff Club announced the Naismith preseason watch list Tuesday.

    Duke tops the list with three players, Kyle Singler, Nolan Smith and freshman Kyrie Irving from Elizabeth (N.J.) St. Patrick (pictured).

    Nominees from the Big East include Corey Fisher of Villanova, Austin Freeman of Georgetown, Ashton Gibbs of Pitt, Jeremy Hazell of Seton Hall, Kevin Jones of West Virginia, Kris Joseph of Syracuse and Kemba Walker of UConn.
