Another tournament, another MVP award for Kyle Anderson.

The 6-foot-8 junior from St. Anthony High School was named MVP of the Rumble in the Bronx after the Playaz downed host Albany City Rocks, 67-65, in the title game Sunday. Anderson tallied 19 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists.

He also recently picked up co-MVP honors at the Frankie Williams Charity Classic in Greenburgh, N.Y. after putting up 20 points in that game.

Villanova signee Savon Goodman scored 16 points and uncommitted shooting guard Myles Davis added 14 for the Playaz.

N.C. State signee Tyler Harris of Long Island led the City Rocks with a game-high 31 points, and Tyler Cavanaugh added 13. The City Rocks were without stud junior center DaJuan Coleman, playing at the adidas Nations event.

Anderson’s trimmed list of five schools now includes Seton Hall, St. John’s, UCLA, Georgetown and Florida. He broke down each school with Jay Gomes of NJHoops.com in the above video.

On UCLA: “I like the job Coach [Ben] Howland does with point guards. He put probably five or six point guards in the NBA in the last five years.”

On Seton Hall: “It’s close to home. If I want to be the hometown guy, stay close with Seton Hall.”

On St. John’s: “I like how everybody plays hard for Coach [Steve] Lavin. They have a good 2011 class coming. I feel like that would be a good home for me, too.”

On Florida: “I like the player development work that Coach [Billy] Donovan does. A lot of guys get better when they go through his program. Great tradition of the school.”

On Georgetown: “I like Coach [John] Thompson’s offense that he runs. Everybody plays hard for Coach Thompson.”

A natural point guard, he will play on the wing the rest of the summer. He heads this week to the NBA Top 100 Camp in Charlottesville, Va., but he must deal with a bruised right heel which he aggravated at the Rumble.

The Playaz 2014 team, coached by former Seton Hall and Manhattan assistant Scott Adubato, also won, beating the Westchester Hawks, 58-51, behind 12 points from Alex Thomas, a 6-7 forward from Hawthorne Christian, and 11 from Jordan Forehand, a 6-2 guard from St. Anthony.
