Jordan Goodman has verbally committed.
Again.
The former Georgetown and Rutgers pledge verbally committed to Texas Tech on Monday.
“He committed to Texas Tech yesterday,” said Antwain Tennell, an assistant coach at Arlington (Fla.) Country Day where the 6-foot-10 Goodman goes to school.
“It just seemed like a good fit. They need a wing to come in. [Billy] Gillespie likes big wings and they need a wing to come in right away. He can help the program immediately. We thought it was a good fit with Jordan.”
Goodman initially committed to Georgetown and then followed David Cox to Rutgers, only to decommit in late May.
“He’s matured greatly over a year and a half he’s been with us,” Tennell said. “He will show his maturity level when he gets there.
“He cut his dreadlocks off. He”s not a bad kid, and his image is he’s a bad kid. Gillispie is good with kids like Jordan. We just thought it was a good move. It ultimately came down to a family decision.”
