In this video interview from the Nike Pro City League, Seton Hall point guard Jordan Theodore talks about what he’s gaining from playing in the league and his outlook for the Pirates in 2011-12.

Seton Hall went 13-18 overall, 7-11 in the first year of the Kevin Willard Era.

“If everybody’s on the same page and we’re playing together and we have that chemistry that we need, things will be alright,” Theodore said. “I’m going to have to pick up the [scoring] load. Herb [Pope] is going to have to pick up the scoring load. I think Fu [Edwin] and Pat [Auda] are ready to go. They had great summers. They’re really looking up.”

Theodore, who is temporarily sidelined with a minor calf injury, is one of several current or former Pirates playing in the league. Jeff Robinson, Jeremy Hazell and Andre Barrett — all of whom expect to compete in Europe this season — are also in the Pro Am.

“This is nothing,” Theodore said of the injury. “I’ll be back next week.”
