  • Amile Jefferson Nearing Decision Time

Amile Jefferson, the highly sought after forward from Philly Friends Central, is nearing a decision.

The 6-foot-7 Jefferson will sit down with his family next Sunday (Nov. 13) upon his return from an official visit to Stanford and discuss his options.

Jefferson is considering Stanford, Villanova, Temple, Kentucky, N.C. State, Ohio State and UConn, his father told SNY.tv Sunday.

“Stanford next weekend and then that’s its,” Malcolm Musgrove told SNY.tv by phone Sunday. “We’ll try to wrap this up shortly.”

Jefferson and his father took an official to N.C. State this weekend and watched the Wolfpack football team down North Carolina, 13-0.

“It was our second time going there,” Musgrove said. “This is our first official, so he had an opportunity to meet with the players. He already had an opportunity to see the facilities and meet with the coaches, but not an opportunity to meet with the players.

“It was an overall good weekend.”

N.C. State is on something of a recruiting roll, having landed 6-7 Brewster (N.H.) Academy wing T.J. Warren last week. He joined guards Rodney Purvis and Tyler Lewis in a class that is now stacked with guards.

“What a recruiting class they have [with Warren],” New York recruiting expertTom Konchalski said. “They have all the perimeter spots sewn up. They have as good of a perimeter recruiting class as anyone in the country.”

Jefferson also visited Temple last week for “Cherry and White Night.”

“He did go to Temple, spent a few hours there,” Musgrove said. “He did say his enjoyed his time.”

Now there remains just the one official to Stanford and then it will be time to discuss his future.

“Now we’ll sit down and decide on what he wants and what he doesn’t think is remotely of interest and we’ll go from there,” Musgrove said.

“Sunday after we return from Stanford we’ll sit down and go over the remaining schools.”
