Plainfield guard Isaiah Epps will visit Maryland unofficially June 24-25, Plainfield coach Pete Vasil said.
“There’s a camp going on,” Vasil said.
Maryland recently offered the 6-foot-2 Epps and told Vasil they’re targeting him to be their lead guard in the Class of 2010.
“Playing time is important to me,” Epps recently told Terrapin Times. “It would be great to start at a major school like Maryland from day one. Maryland is a big-time school and the ACC is a great league.”
He also holds offers from Rutgers, Seton Hall and PItt, and Vasil has lately received calls from Marquette and St. Joseph, as well as a card from Kansas assistant Joe Dooley. Dooley, a Garden State native, expressed interest in both Epps and freshman guard Tyrone Johnson. He previously recruited Quintrell Thomas of St. Patrick and Tyshawn Taylor of St. Anthony to Kansas.
St. Bonaventure is also interested in Plainfield guard Anthony Baskerville, Vasil said.
