In his cover story on Brandon Jennings in the current Basketball Times, John Akers confirms what we reported here earlier this month.
“Jennings has yet to attain a qualifying test score that correlates to his grade-point average,” Akers wrote.
The 6-foot Jennings is committed to Arizona.
“He doesn’t have his test score,” Oak Hill coach Steve Smith told ZAGSBLOG earlier this month. “He has taken both the SAT and the ACT. He needs to get his test score up a little more to correlate with his GPA.
“I think he’ll make it. I’ve had guys in this boat before. I obviously have some concern. He won’t get his scores back until the end of June.”
Jennings earned numerous honors this past year at Oak Hill, including Naismith, Parade Magazine, EA Sports, MaxPreps and Basketball Times national player of the year awards.
