Syracuse shed a week’s worth of heavy off-the-court distractions to win its first road game of the season and remain unbeaten.

Does anyone out there think the No. 1 Orange can’t contend for a national championship?

With their 88-72 victory at N.C. State, the ‘Cuse improved to 11-0. Dion Waiters continues to excel off the bench, scoring a team-high 22, Kris Joseph had 21 and Scoop Jardine 16.

Jardine and Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony have both emphasized the team’s ability to ignore the Bernie Fine situation and march forward on the court.

In this game, the Orange rattled off a 24-6 first-half ending run and took charge.

This despite a series of developments in the Fine case this week.

On Thursday, a fourth man,  Floyd VanHooser, accused Fine of child sexual abuse and said there wore more victims out there.

On Tuesday, the first two accusers — Bobby Davis and Mike Lang — filed a civil law suit in New York against Syracuse coach Jim Boeheim and the university for defamation.

Despite all this, the Orange roll on, using the basketball court as a sanctum from the Fine fiasco.

At this point, it’s not that hard to imagine the Orange rolling all the way toward a Final Four.
