Reggie Cameron, one of the top small forwards in the Class of 2013 out of Hudson (N.J.) Catholic, will be contributing periodically to ZAGSBLOG during his junior season. Here’s his first entry:
What’s up everybody! If you already didn’t know my name is Reggie Cameron and I am a 6-foot-7 SF and I attend Hudson Catholic High School in Jersey City, N.J.
This is my second year at HC, after I was forced to transfer after the closing of Paterson Catholic. So I am hoping I can bring Hudson Catholic to the top and back to state dominance very soon.
School is going well and so far my GPA is about a 3.4 and I am looking to get that even higher. As far as basketball we are 4-2 , our two losses are by or combined 3 points. My teammates and I are determined to use those losses as motivation and not let that number get any higher.
On the AAU circuit I rep the Playaz Basketball Club and we are the most dominant AAU program in New Jersey. I play along side my teammates at Hudson Catholic, Kavon Stewart and Mike Young with the Playaz also.
Being part of a great program like this has helped me receive offers from schools like Cincinnati, Depaul, Miami, , Northwestern, Providence, Rutgers, Seton Hall, Umass, Villanova and Xavier. Along with interest from Florida, Marquette, Notre Dame, Oregon State, and Pitt to name a few. Hopefully with lots of hard work this list will grow.
I am happy to keep everyone updated on our season at HC , and all that goes on with me this year!
