Bruce Springsteen paid homage to the late, great Levon Helm by singing “The Weight” during the last show of the first leg of his “Wrecking Ball” tour Wednesday night in Newark.

“He was one of the greatest, greatest voices in country, rockabilly and rock & roll,” Springsteen said. “Levon’s voice and drumming was so incredibly versatile. He had a feel on the drums…it comes from a certain place in the past and you can’t replicate it.”
