Andrew and Aaron Harrison could announce their college choice as soon as this fall.

“It’s around that time,” Aaron Harrison Sr. told SNY.tv Thursday, confirming comments he made to the Kentucky Rivals site. “Their birthday is Oct. 28. They want to get it done before the high school season starts.”

The twins are down to four final schools, Maryland, Baylor, Kentucky and Villanova and Aaron Sr. said they would visit three or four of them this summer.

“We’re going to visit Villanova and that’s going to be the first week of July,” Aaron Sr. said. “And then Maryland will be that same week.

“As far as Kentucky goes, I don’t know about that. We’ve been there twice already and my wife’s been there. It’s something we’ve already done. My wife has talked to the coaches and given them the third degree. We may visit there again and we may not.

“As far as Baylor goes that may be the end of June.”

The Harrison twins are committed to the USA Basketball U18 team for much of June and will have to wait until after that ends to take visits.

“They have the USA Basketball for most of June,” he said.

Kentucky coach John Calipari announced on his Website that in the 2013-14 season Kentucky will play Baylor at Cowboys Stadium, but Aaron Sr. said that wouldn’t impact his kids’ decisions.

    “No, it doesn’t,” he said.

Asked if he felt Kentucky had made the twins their top priority for the 2013 class, Aaron Sr. said: “That’s what they said. I’m sure everybody gets the same thing. He said we’re a priority, that’s pretty much how it works.

“Take it for what it’s worth. Baylor and Maryland and Villanova said the same thing. We’re just kind of going through it.”

Aaron Sr. added that his kids hoped to avoid the late announcements my many of the 2012 kids, including Nerlens Noel, Shabazz Muhammad, Tony Parker and Amile Jefferson.

“The timeline has always been the same timeline, get it over with,” he said. “They saw what it means to carry it over for the entire year like all these kids did in 2012

“To me, that’s a lot. That’s not for Aaron and Andrew.”
