  • Nic Moore to SMU

Former Illinois State guard Nic Moore has landed at SMU, sources told SNY.tv.

The 5-foot-9 Moore will play for former coach Tim Jankovic, the coach-in-waiting under legendary coach Larry Brown.

Moore, who cancelled visits to Illinois and Notre Dame after making the call, averaged 10 points and 3.9 assists as a freshman. He will have three years left after sitting out one.

“As soon as coach Jankovich left I made up my mind and knew I wanted to go play for a BCS program,” Moore said in a statement last month. “It didn’t matter who was going to be the head coach. My decision had already been made.”

SMU remains involved with uncommitted 2012 players Jordan Dickerson, a 7-footer who visits next week, and 6-6 wing Savon Goodman, who has already visited.
