PHILADELPHIA — Playing in front of four of the five head coaches recruiting them, the Harrison Twins put on a show here in their first game Wednesday at the Reebok Breakout Challenge.

Aaron Harrison poured in 28 points, hitting 6-of-11 3-pointers for JWALL, and Andrew Harrison added 11 points, with 1-of-2 treys, in a 100-61 rout of the Answers at Philly U.

“We was just out here having fun,” Aaron, the No. 4 players in the Rivals150 for 2013, told SNY.tv. “We are just getting ready for Milwaukee and Orlando so we’re just out here having fun together, so we enjoyed ourselves.”

Baylor coach Scott Drew, Maryland coach Mark Turgeon, SMU coach Larry Brown and Villanova coach Jay Wright sat courtside, but Kentucky coach John Calipari, who is coachingĀ The Dominican Republic team that will play an exhibition Thursday night against Team USA in Las Vegas, was not here.

“I try not to [notice them], I try to just focus on the game,” Aaron said.

He said it didn’t matter that Calipari was absent.

As far as an announcement, the twins said it will be “in between September and October. We’re not sure on an exact date yet.”

Their birthday is Oct. 28 and the announcement could come then.

    “It might be,” Aaron said.

Though some people believe the twins will likely end up at Kentucky, Aaron said, “Everyone’s on an equal playing field right now, so no one’s above anyone.”

Andrew, the No 3 player in the Class of 2013, added, “No, I haven’t decided yet.”

Asked what the hardest part of the process was, Andrew said, “Having to make a decision at the end. I like all the schools. All the coaches are great, so you can’t help everybody so you gotta disappoint some people but that’s the tough part.”

Andrew on playing at Kentucky: “Just being able to play with other great players. It’s a great tradition and just having Coach Cal, one of the better coaches in the country.”

Andrew on Baylor: “Just the family atmosphere and being close to home [in Texas]. Being in a pretty good basketball conference.”

Andrew on Villanova: “Just the way they use their guards.”

Andrew on Maryland: “Just the family atmosphere, playing with some other good people, too [Texas nativeĀ Shaq Cleare].”

Andrew on SMU: “Just the great coaching. All the coaches are great, and the school is great, too. And it’s not that far from me.”

The twins will likely take some visits before the fall, but haven’t nailed them down.

“I’m sure I’m taking visits but I’m not sure the exact dates and what schools and stuff like that,” Aaron said.
