You’ve got to love this quote from LeBron James about whether or not he and his teammates are distracted by all the LeBron-to-New York talk.
“It’s a distraction for the Knicks,” he said, according to the AP. “It’s not a distraction for us — we’re good.”
LeBron says he’s never mentioned the Knicks or Nets and that it’s all a creation of the media…the media which is aware of his friendship with Nets part-owner Jay-Z and the Knicks’ desire to bring in a star in two years.
“You give questions and you guys want us to answer them and when we don’t answer them, you get mad,” James said. “I’ve never said anything about being a Knick or being on any team in this league beside being here in Cleveland. I’ll leave it at that, and we’ll see what happens.”
And then there’s this one about Charles Barkley, who has publicly ripped King James for considering the Knicks or Nets as his destination in 2010.
“I don’t have nothing to say to Charles Barkley,” he said.
