NEW YORK — Is Knicks coach Mike Woodson looking to play veteran bigs Rasheed Wallace and Marcus Camby together more often?
Woodson played the two 6-foot-11 men together for a spell in the first half of the Knicks 121-100 win over the Detroit Pistons Sunday at MSG.
“We’ll eventually get to that,” Woodson said after his team moved to 9-3 ahead of Monday’s showdown with the Nets at the Barclays Center. “We can tinker around with different lineups, with different combinations.
“But at the end of the day whatever player is in there playing, he’s gotta make the most of the minutes to help us win.”
Wallace finished with 15 points in almost 22 minutes before fouling out, while Camby had 0 points and three rebounds in five minutes.
“I just decided to go big tonight just to see how it looked,” Woodson said. “And that’s not to say it won’t happen again. I think as the season goes along you’ll see some of that.”
