Dwyane Morgan’s recruitment is heating up.

The 6-foot-7 small forward out of Baltimore St. Frances will take unofficials visit to Maryland, possibly Jan. 5 for the Virginia Tech game, and South Florida and also has several officials planned.

“He’ll take an unoffiical to Maryland coming up to one of the conference games,” his AAU coach, Dwyane Wise, told SNY.tv Wednesday.

Wise said Morgan will also take an unofficial to South Florida when he’s in Florida next month for the Montverde Invitational.

“His coach will take him over,” Wise said.

Meantime, he has officials planned in January to Indiana, Missouri and UNLV. The only date set is the UNLV visit for Jan. 12 when they play Air Force.

Indiana has also stepped up its recruitment in advance of an official visit.

“Coach [Tom] Crean has been calling, really pressing,” Wise said. “He called to let him know he’s  a priority for that class at that position.

“He called the other day, he’s a priority recruit. He let him know he really, really, really wants him. He’s been following up on him, checking up on him.”

A Missouri visit is also planned.

“He’s definitely going to visit Missouri when conference play starts,” Wise said.

“Missouri and Indiana are looking to work around his schedule. We will get good solid dates at the end of January or early February.”

St. Frances is 12-0 and ranked No. 18 by USA Today after beating the Harrison twins and Travis (TX), 63-58, in the I-95 Elite Showcase in Baltimore.
