Cliff Dixon, a 6-10 forward from Hutchinson (Kansas) Community College who has verbally committed to Seton Hall, has been reinstated for the second semester by his head coach.
Dixon has been suspended since Nov. 19 for conduct detrimental to the team. He missed four games during his suspension and was averaging 15.9 points and 7.1 rebounds beforehand.
Hutchinson was 9-3 entering tonight’s game with Central Florida.
“Cliff is a very long and skilled power forward,” Hutchinson coach Ryan Swanson said via email. “He has a tremendous upside as his biggest drawback right now is his strength level which can be improved by the time he plays for Seton Hall. He was being recruited by a lot of Big 12 and Big East schools.
**Seton Hall beat St. Peter’s 60-46 today behind 14 points from Jeremy Hazell and 12 apiece from Paul Gause and Eugene Harvey. Senior big man John Garcia fell to the floor with an apparent knee injury in the second half but told Setonia.blogspot.com that he was “OK” afterward.
