The Knicks will decline the team option for wing James White and he will become an unrestricted free agent, according to RealGM.com and other reports.

The 6-foot-7 guard averaged 2.2 points mainly as a defensive specialist last season.

ESPNNewYork.com reported he may look at playing in China.

“There is NBA interest, but he will make much more in China,” his agent, Dan Curtin, told the site. “We’re negotiating with several Chinese teams now for big money.”

White’s role with the Knicks did not figure to increase with the addition of draft pick Tim Hardaway Jr.

White participated in the dunk contest this season and won an NBA championship with the 2007 San Antonio Spurs.
