  • Andrew Nembhard, the 6-foot-4, 175-pound Canadian point guard from UPlay Canada and Montverde (FL) Academy, has reclassified to 2018 from 2019.

Nembhard joins an elite group of Class of 2018 point guards from the U.S. that includes Immanuel Quickley, Darius Garland, Tre Jones and Jahvon Quinerly.

Florida, Gonzaga, Michigan and Stanford are among the schools working hardest for Nembhard.

“He likes those schools because they’re good people, they’re recruiting him the right way,” UPlay Canada coach Dwayne Washington said recently. “The reason why those are the four schools is because he’s really looking at the academic side, that mean’s a lot to that family.”

Still, Washington said Nembhard is “wide open” to other schools like Vanderbilt and Oklahoma that are recruiting him.

After returning to the AAU circuit this summer with his UPlay Canada team, Andrew Nembhard’s stock continues to rise.
