  • Former Arizona commit Jahvon Quinerly was on hand Wednesday at Hudson (N.J.) Catholic when two of his teammates signed their National Letters of Intent, but Quinerly plans to wait it out before making his next move.

Luther Muhammad, a 6-foot-4 shooting guard, signed his NLI with Ohio State, while 6-8 wing Louis King inked with Oregon.

After decommitting from Arizona last month in the wake of the FBI investigation into bribery in college basketball, the 6-2 Quinerly plans to wait and see what his options are.

“We’ve been playing together since we were in the seventh grade, this was our goal, to all sign together,” Quinerly told NJ.com. “But I’m going to have my own day, and I’m just happy for these guys right now and supporting them to the fullest.”

Brian Bowen “primarily considered Arizona” in addition to Louisville, his mother told former FBI agent Carl Christianen, according to documents provided by Rick Pitino’s attorney Steve Pence.

“Tugs primarily considered playing for Arizona,” the document reads. “She stated the Arizona coach told Bowen that a couple of players were returning and their return was going to make it difficult for him to start at Arizona.”

Arizona had several returning wing players, including sophomores Allonzo Trier and Rawle Alkins, both projected NBA picks.

Jahvon Quinerly has hired an attorney to represent him in the college basketball bribery scandal and says he remains committed to Arizona “for now.”

The Hudson (N.J.) Catholic and Sports U point guard told reporters at the USA Basketball minicamp in Colorado Springs, Colo., that he has hired attorney Alan Millstein — who in 2004 represented onetime Ohio State running back Maurice Clarett – to represent him in the bribery case.

Quinerly also told ESPN he has not been contacted by federal authorities in the case.

Asked if he had accepted money, he told ESPN, “I have no comment.”
